Important Notice

There have been many troubles that involve transportation of cordless hair iron with non-removable built-in lithium-ion battery and power banks with built-in lithium-ion battery.

Those items are categorized as "dangerous goods". Please check the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism website for the transportation conditions by yourself.

[For Passengers with Power Banks]

Notice regarding the Handling of Power Banks on board Aircraft (MLIT)

・For flights departing on or after April 24, 2026

Regarding the carrying of power banks on board, the regulations will change for flights departing from April 24, 2026, onwards.

Be careful when bringing them on board (MLIT)

Items for which air transport is prohibited (dangerous goods)

Items for which air transport is prohibited by law (dangerous goods) may not be brought on board as either carry on or checked baggage.

  • Items posing an explosion hazard
  • Highly flammable items
  • Items that may injure people or cause damage to other property

The following items are classified as dangerous goods and may not be transported on board.

  • Electronic devices with lithium-ion batteries exceeding 160Wh (transporting the batteries alone is also prohibited)
  • Gas Canisters, Insecticides, Pesticides, Fireworks, Firecrackers
  • Self-heating meals (Box meal with self heating devices)
    * Prohibited in both carry on and checked baggage regardless of before or after heating.

What you can't carry to the cabin

Sharp objects (such as scissors and knives) and items that have the potential of being used as weapons (such as golf clubs) are not allowed to be carried on board.

  • Items that can be used as a weapon, including knives and blunt objects
  • Items with exceptionally sharp points
  • Other items that could be used as weapons

Please check them in at the counter.

Items Conditionally Allowed Aboard as Carry on or Checked Baggage

Certain quantities or volumes of some items cannot be brought aboard airplanes as carry on or checked baggage. Here are some examples of items that customers frequently ask about at airports.

Items Not Allowed as Checked Baggage

Do not put expensive articles like cash, precious metals, precious stones, valuable stock certificates, or expensive antique works of art; or fragile items like clocks, cameras, personal computers, or glass products inside baggage which will be checked. Should damage to or loss of these items occur, Solaseed Air bears no responsibility.

  • To bring baggage that exceeds the carry-on baggage size as carry-on baggage, you must pay a "special passenger fare (to be renamed "Cabin Baggage Fee" for travel on or after May 19, 2026)" and purchase an extra seat.
