Reference Date for Determining Fare
The "reference date for determining fare" is the reference date on which the fare for an flight ticket is determined.
The reference date for determining fare is determined separately for each flight.
1. If the fare amount changes prior to purchasing a flight ticket
The fare amount will be the amount that applies at the time of the purchase procedure.
Before the flight ticket purchase procedure
Example 1
On April 24, you reserve a Bargain 28 flight boarding on June 20 for JPY 15,000.
On April 25, the price decreases to JPY 13,000.
If you purchase it on April 26:
The fare amount for the ticket at the time of purchase applies.
Therefore, the purchase amount is JPY 13,000.
Example 2
On April 24, you reserve a Bargain 28 flight boarding on June 20 for JPY 15,000.
On April 25, the price increases to JPY 16,000.
If you purchase it on April 26:
The fare amount for the ticket at the time of purchase applies.
Therefore, the purchase amount is JPY 16,000.
- The fare amount is the amount in effect at the time the purchase procedure is carried out.
The fare amount might differ from when the reservation was made, so check the fare amount again before you pay.
After the flight ticket purchase procedure
Example 3
On April 20, you purchase a Bargain 28 flight boarding on June 20 for JPY 15,000.
The fare amount for the ticket at the time of purchase applies.
You will not be charged JPY 1,000.
Example 4
On April 20, you purchase a Bargain 28 flight boarding on June 20 for JPY 15,000.
On April 25, the price decreases to JPY 14,000.
The fare amount for the ticket at the time of purchase applies.
You will not be refunded JPY 1,000.
2. If you change your boarding date from a busy season to a regular season after purchase
If you change your reservation, the fare that applies after the change will be the fare that is valid for the boarding date after the change, as of the date the flight ticket is purchased.
- It is not the fare amount as of the date the reservation is changed.
Example
On June 10, you purchase a ticket for a flight boarding on August 10 (busy season) for JPY 33,000.
On July 30, you change the boarding date to September 1 (regular season).
The applicable fare amount for the boarding date (September 1) changed after the ticket's purchase date (reference date for determining fare: June 10) is JPY 30,000.
Therefore, the cost difference of JPY 3,000 will be refunded.
3. If convenience store payment with the payment slip is selected
Cautions
If convenience store payment (payment at 7-Eleven) with the payment slip is selected,
the fare amount at the time when convenience store payment (payment at 7-Eleven) is selected on the website will apply, instead of the fare amount at the time of payment (the flight ticket purchase date).
Therefore, the date of the selection will be the reference date for determining fare.
- In the case of other convenience store payment options (payment at Lawson, FamilyMart, Ministop, or Daily Yamazaki) or payment at Japan Post Bank (Pay-easy Compatible ATM), the reference date for determining fare will be the day payment is made at the store.
Example
On April 24, you reserve a "Bargain 28" for a flight boarding on June 20, and select payment at 7-Eleven.
Payment is made on April 26
Since the fare amount valid on the date of the payment method selection applies, the purchase amount will be JPY 15,000.
The "reference date for determining fare" is the reference date on which the fare for an flight ticket is determined.
Fare application criteria may vary depending on when you purchase a ticket or make changes.
- 1. If the fare amount changes prior to purchasing a flight ticket
- 2. If the fare amount changes after purchasing a flight ticket
- 3. If the fare amount changes after purchase and you change your reservation prior to the start of travel
- 4. If the fare amount changes after purchase and you change your reservation after the start of travel
- 5. If convenience store payment with the payment slip is selected
1. If the fare amount changes prior to purchasing a flight ticket
The fare amount will be the amount that applies at the time of the purchase procedure.
Example 1
On April 24, you reserve an "Early Bird Saver" flight boarding on June 20 for JPY 15,000.
On April 25, the price decreases to JPY 13,000.
You purchase it on April 26.
The fare amount for the ticket at the time of purchase applies.
Therefore, the purchase amount is JPY 13,000.
Example 2
On April 24, you reserve an "Early Bird Saver" flight boarding on June 20 for JPY 15,000.
On April 25, the price increases to JPY 16,000.
You purchase it on April 26.
The fare amount for the ticket at the time of purchase applies.
Therefore, the purchase amount is JPY 16,000.
- The fare amount is the amount in effect at the time the purchase procedure is carried out. The fare amount might differ from when the reservation was made, so check the fare amount again before you pay.
2. If the fare amount changes after purchasing a flight ticket
The fare effective on the day of travel start will apply on the day of ticket purchase.
Example
On April 10, you purchase a "Standard" round-trip tickets for the outbound flight (Solaseed Air Flight 51 (Haneda-Miyazaki) boarding on April 28) and the return flight (Solaseed Air Flight 64 (Miyazaki-Haneda) boarding on April 30).
On April 29, the fare amounts for the boarding dates increase.
Since the fare amount effective on the day of travel start (April 28) will apply to both the outbound and return flights on the day of ticket purchase (April 10),
the return fare will remain unchanged.
3. If the fare amount changes after purchase and you change your reservation before the start of travel
The fare effective on the day of travel start will apply to the whole itinerary on the day of the change.
Example:If you purchased a standard round-trip fare and the fare for the return flight in August increases
On June 1, you purchase standard round-trip tickets for the outbound flight (Solaseed Air Flight 51 (Haneda-Miyazaki) boarding on July 20) and the return flight (Solaseed Air Flight 64 (Miyazaki-Haneda) boarding on August 3).
On June 15, the fare amounts for the boarding in August increase.
On July 1, you change the reservation to the outbound flight (Solaseed Air Flight 51 (Haneda-Miyazaki) boarding on July 22) and the return flight (Solaseed Air Flight 64 (Miyazaki-Haneda) boarding on August 5).
Since the fare amount effective on the day of travel start (July 22) will apply to both the outbound and return flights on the day of the change (July 1),
the fare amount will be the one after the price increase.
4. If the fare amount changes after purchase and you change your reservation after the start of travel
The fare effective on the day of travel start will apply to the segment for which the change is made on the day of ticket purchase.
Example:If you purchased a standard (round-trip fare) ticket and wish to change your return flight reservation after boarding the outbound flight
Changed the reservation for the return flight (August 5, Solaseed Air Flight 64, Miyazaki-Haneda) after boarding the outbound flight on July 20.
For the return trip, the fare amount valid on the travel start date (July 20) as of the purchase date (June 1) will apply, so the fare amount before the increase will remain unchanged.
5. If convenience store payment with the payment slip is selected
Cautions
If convenience store payment (payment at 7-Eleven) with the payment slip is selected, the fare amount at the time when convenience store payment (payment at 7-Eleven) is selected on Solaseed Air website will apply, instead of the fare amount at the time of payment (the flight ticket purchase date).
Example
On April 24, you reserve a "Early Bird Saver" for a flight boarding on June 20, and select payment at 7-Eleven.
Payment is made on April 26.
Since the fare amount valid on the date of the payment method selection applies, the purchase amount will be JPY 15,000.
- Because the fare amount specified when the payment method is selected applies, there will be no charge or refund for the cost difference even if the fare amount changes on April 25.
