Passengers Having Difficulty Maintaining Sitting Position

Support belts and assist seats to hold the upper body are available for passengers who are able to sit but have difficulty maintaining a sitting position (free of charge).
For passengers who would like to use any of them, please consult with us at the time of the reservation.

When Making a ReservationOPEN

Accompaniment of a companion

Passengers requiring assistance with eating, using the lavatory, etc. must be accompanied by another passenger who is able to assist.
Neither our ground nor cabin crew will be able to provide assistance in doing so.

Available in 3 different sizes to suit your body type.

Passenger's height: 48 to 101 cm
Passenger's weight: 2.3 to 18 kg
Size-M:ASST-M
Passenger's height: 80 to 115 cm
Passenger's weight: 10 to 49 kg
Size-L:ASST-L
Passenger's height: 115 to 145 cm
Passenger's weight: 10 to 49 kg

Support belts

Auxiliary belts for fastening the upper body to the seat are available.
We offer them free of charge to passengers who experience difficulty in maintaining a sitting position for reasons such as a disability.
There are 2 types of support belts: vest type and belt type.

Use of passenger's own auxiliary device

A passenger's car seat or auxiliary device can be used in the cabin. It is necessary to confirm in advance whether it can be used in the cabin.
Please contact the "Disability Desk" as soon as possible.

Check Points
  • The shape (photo), material and size (height, width, and depth) of the auxiliary device
    *In the case of ready-made products, please inform us of the manufacturer's name and product name.
  • How to install it to the seat

For safety reasons, you are not allowed to sit in an exit row seat.

On the day of departure, please arrive at the airport early.

Security CheckOPEN

It is performed with the same details and in the same manner as other passengers.
Simplified inspections or preferential treatment at security checks for reasons of a disability are not acceptable.
Each person must pass through the metal detector. In some cases, an inspection by contacting may be required, but please rest assured that the security staff will tell you what to do.
If you have any concerns, please tell us at the time of the reservation, or at the airport counter on the day of your boarding.

Boarding and In FlightOPEN

We will also assist you safely with boarding and getting to your seat. You may use our service with peace of mind.

Priority gate service

Passengers who require assistance can board the plane first as soon as the plane has been prepared to allow passengers to board.Please inform the boarding gate staff as soon as possible if you would like to use this service. Upon your request, a staff member will escort you to the aircraft entrance.

In-flight services

For passengers using the auxiliary belts for fastening the upper body, or their own auxiliary devices, please be sure to fasten the seat belts.

Upon ArrivalOPEN

Upon request, our staff will escort you to the arrival lobby or to the person meeting you. Please feel free to let us know if you have request.
If you require assistance, you may have to wait a short while to be served.
